Enter a target market cap and a share count to calculate.
How to calculate an implied share price
- Enter a target market cap. Type the valuation you want to reverse, in USD. Grouping commas and a leading $ are fine.
- Enter shares outstanding. Type the full share count, not millions or billions. Do not divide ranking market cap by price to invent a share count.
- Read the implied share price. The calculator divides the target cap by the share count. Empty shares leave the result blank.
Frequently asked questions
- What would the share price be at a $1 trillion valuation?
- Divide the target market cap by shares outstanding. With 1.5 billion shares, a $1 trillion cap implies a share price of about $666.67. The calculator does not invent a share count from the ranking.
- Why won't this invent a share count from the ranking?
- The ranking stores a combined company market cap and one listing's price. Dividing those is not shares outstanding when a company has more than one class. Type the share count yourself.
- Is this investment advice?
